Hyundai Hockey Helpers October 2012

Hockey plays such an integral role in so many Canadian lives, and it starts young. Sadly, so many kids don't have the opportunity to play and participate because their families cannot afford the cost of hockey equipment & league fees. Because of these lost opportunities these children in need can't develop valuable life skills taught through the game of hockey, such as teamwork, sportsmanship, drive and determination and the rewards that present themselves from hard work. Hyundai Hockey Helpers was created to help deserving kids be a part of the game of Hockey on every level and give them the chance to get the skill set and passion for the game that could have the opportunity to become a future career!



Financial barriers keep kids from playing organized hockey and receiving benefits of being involved in team activities. Hockey teaches kids to be part of a team & that hard work is the best way for success, & the value of sportsmanship. Hyundai Hockey Helpers is dedicated to helping at least one thousand deserving kids get into the game by providing grants for league registration fees & hockey equipment.

Hyundai Hockey Helpers is supported by Hyundai Auto Canada Corp., Hyundai dealers across Canada, and we hope, customers like you. Hyundai & Hyundai dealers will support the first thousand kids & pay all the program operating expenses. All further donations from the public will go directly to helping more kids get in the game.

Hyundai Hockey Helpers works in partnership with Kidsport™, a national not-for-profit organization providing financial assistance to youth for sports registration fees & equipment. Kidsport will be responsible for reviewing applications & distributing grants.
